About me

As a personal trainer, nutrition and resilience coach, I help all sorts of people - including those with medical conditions such as hypertension and type II diabetes - to build sustainable, healthy habits so they can live longer, happier, more productive and more exceptional lives.

  • Level 3 Certified Personal Trainer (CIMPSA Registration No. C003904)

  • Level 3 Diploma in GP Exercise Referral

  • RSPH Level 4 Nutrition Coach

  • iPEC Certified Professional Coach (CPC)

Beyond my qualifications, I’ve learned how to help other people lead fitter, healthier and more fulfilling lives through the lessons I’ve learned by living my own. From dealing with chronic stress and burnout during my corporate career, navigating a divorce and co-parenting my autistic son, to running over a dozen ultra-marathons - I know how hard life can get.

In 2019, aged 48 years old, I was easily more than four stone overweight and unable to run up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, having neglected my health, fitness and mental health during a three-decade career in public affairs and communications.

Over the following three years, I lost 29kg by focusing on eating a healthier, balanced diet and taking more exercise. I started running (because it was cheap and it got me out of the house) before joining a gym to focus on strength training. I also took up meditation, journalling and breathwork to help me better handle stress.

Now aged 53, I am in the best shape, physically and mentally, of my life.

About coaching

This isn’t just about just losing weight, getting fit or helping you build your mental and spiritual health; it’s about helping you build sustainable, habits so you can live a longer, happier, healthier and more exceptional life.

Chemistry session

If you’re thinking of working with a coach, keep in mind that each session should leave you feeling empowered and uplifted, so it’s critical to find one whose style and philosophy resonate with you. A chemistry session is a chance for us to meet online or in-person, explore why and how we might work together, your goals and objectives, and see whether my coaching would benefit you.

My chemistry sessions are complimentary and there’s no obligation. They’re usually around 45 minutes long. If we meet in-person, the coffee (or tea) is on me!

If you’re ready to take the first step on your journey, get in touch.

Initial consultation

When we begin working together, we’ll set up an initial consultation, which usually lasts around 90 minutes.

Depending on our focus, that might include a review of your health and medical history, sleep and exercise habits, lifestyle, allergies, food likes and dislikes, goals and aspirations. For strength and fitness clients, that consultation will also include a functional movement screening, and a cardio and strength evaluation.

As with all my clients, discretion is of utmost importance - any and all information you share stays between us.

Ongoing support

The exact frequency of our sessions and the duration of our coaching relationship depends entirely on what you want to achieve, your starting point and your other commitments. Outside our scheduled sessions, I’m always available to clients via WhatsApp to provide extra support and advice or to answer questions.

After care & follow-on plans

Once a client, always a client. I love staying in contact with people I’ve worked with. I want you to continue your success long term, so I’m always on hand to provide further advice and guidance, suggest workouts or training programmes, nutrition guides, mindset coaching and more - so you can stay on track.

If you think I might be the right coach for you, get in touch.
